Adapting to a Compressed Project Timeline

Our Czech branch was approached by the client with a request for the relocation of a car upholstery production line between two branches in the Czech Republic. The line included a c-press, column stanze press, heating rotary press and air-conditioning systems.

The project was to be completed in 14 days, a demanding but achievable timeframe. However, the scope changed when the client moved up the project completion deadline to just 9 days, creating a challenge to ensure the relocation could still take place safely within the desired timeframe.

A turnkey solution through flexible project management

As an experienced industrial relocation partner, adapting to changes within a project is a challenge our teams are familiar with. To meet the revised deadline, Project Manager Lukáš Jořenek quickly reorganised logistics, labour resources, transport schedules, and specialist lifting equipment so that his team could ensure delivery within the shortened timeframe.

Providing a turnkey service, our team of qualified riggers and mechanical and electrical engineers carried out the relocation by means of:

  • Mechanical and electrical disconnection of production equipment
  • Removal and safe handling of hydraulic systems and oil charges
  • Dismantling of major machinery, ancillary equipment, and air conditioning units
  • Internal movement of equipment to loading points
  • Loading and unloading operations using cranes and specialist lifting equipment
  • Positioning equipment in accordance with customer-approved layouts
  • Mechanical and electrical reassembly of the presses and production equipment
  • Dismantling of air conditioning units

As a result of the thorough planning and organisation from Mr Jořenek, the relocation project was completed within the client’s revised nine-day deadline despite substantial programme compression, and in full compliance with safety procedures. The successful delivery further strengthened our ongoing relationship with the client, who continues to engage us as a trusted partner for future relocation projects.
