Building our Pan-European Network with a new German HQ in Essen

AIS EURELO has established a German HQ in Essen as part of ambitious growth plans focused on supporting the automotive industry, German customers and our supply chain partners across Europe.

Experienced industrial services professional Arnd Held has joined AIS to head up our German HQ and lead the German team, with responsibility for implementing a structured investment plan and driving business growth. He brings many years of industrial service experience in international projects to the AIS EURELO team, and speaks both UK and German languages, building on the capabilities of the company’s pan-European network.

Arnd Held Explains: “There has been substantial demand for a player with the combination of skills, experience, lifting equipment and vehicles we can offer for projects throughout Europe, including factory moves, rationalisation programmes and asset optimisation across borders. My remit is to leverage those international capabilities and capitalise on this period of change, focusing in particular on how we can support the German automotive market and its upstream and downstream supply chain throughout Europe.”

AIS EURELO’s decision to establish an HQ in Essen builds on the company’s existing presence in Europe, which includes locations in the UK, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It comes at a time when the German automotive sector and associated industries are managing significant change, including the transition to electric vehicle manufacturing, the development of new battery and fast-charge technologies and the move towards driverless vehicles.

“Looking ahead, we can see some very positive trends emerging. Sales of electric vehicles tripled in Germany during 2020 and accounted for 22 per cent of sales in Q4 of last year, so there is strong evidence that transformation programmes will support resilience and market opportunity over the next few years. Our strategy is to provide the experience, specialist fleet and international capabilities required to help the German automotive sector capitalise on that opportunity, while also using our Essen base to support other sectors including manufacturing, power, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and food and drink.”
